Gill and Graeme Yeo warmly welcome you to the Poachers Pocket.
Renowned for our superb restaurant, we serve a delicious variety of traditionally home-cooked fayre 7 days a week.
We also have an extensive selection of reasonably priced wines to suit all tastes. Or you may wish to enjoy your meal by the old fashioned log fire in the friendly atmosphere of the lounge bar
Gill is our chef, and she will be very pleased to cater for your special occasion and celebrations.
The small family-run hotel and restaurant was built in 1644 as a coaching inn and is justly proud of its heritage and ‘olde worlde’ atmosphere.
Offering a genuinely high standard of accommodation throughout the year, we have a choice of delightful double, twin or family rooms.
All have been tastefully refurbished to an individual style of their own and include full en-suite facilities, or occasionally, private bathrooms instead. Colour TV’s, Courtesy trays, colour co-ordinated furnishings and country views made you feel instantly at home.
Scrumptious breakfast are prepared to suit all tastes and our charming visitors’ lounge is perfect for relaxing in after your journey. There is ample private parking to the rear of the hotel.
The surroundings offer the perfect environment for touring the unspoilt countryside and varied coastlines. Exmoor, the Bredons, Quantocks and Blackdown Hills are all designated areas of outstanding natural beauty. Quaint little villages, country walks, National trust properties and many other attractions are in the locality, too.
